THCA and CBDA are excellent anti-inflammatory compounds. They reduce inflammation by inhibiting the activity of COX-2 enzymes. As a result, the individual feels less pain after an inflammatory process has been triggered. THCA and CBDA have excellent antiemetic properties.
The biggest difference between THCA and THC is that THCA does not produce the intoxicating effects that THC produces. Concurrent administration of THCA with THC will also slow down the breakdown and excretion of THC, another way in which THCA can increase the potency of THC. Unless you're looking for edible products, you want to have a high THCA content, not necessarily THC; that THCA represents all the potential potency of what you're about to smoke, rub or vape, since it will convert to THC.
